Massage Therapist and Health Educator - 720Hrs
Cost: $6,588
(price will increase to $6,900 starting Jan 1, 2011)


This 720hr Massage Therapist Program consists of:

  • 100-Hour Massage Therapist Program
  • 2 of these classes (to total 100 hrs): Anatomy & Kinesiology – Upper Body (50 hrs) OR Maniken Anatomy (50 hrs), OR Anatomy & Kinesiology- lower body (50 hrs), OR Anatomy and Physiology for Bodyworkers (50 hrs)
  • Pathology (and physiology)(50 hrs)
  • 430 hours of any of the elective classes including Adult CPR. You may choose any of the elective classes offered or you may choose to specialize in one or more of the modalities offered (see Advanced Training Tracks).  
  • 40 hours Teaching Assistant or 40 hours of additional elective classes.

To register into this program you should fill out application for admission and enrollment agreement, noting the date of the 100 hr Massage Therapist Program, that you wish to enroll in, and if you know which anatomy and/or pathology class you would like to attend, note this also. You can check anatomy class dates in the class schedule. If you already know which elective classes you would like to take you can also list them, or you can register at a later date. Students are welcome to schedule a meeting with the Director to discuss and schedule the elective classes that will best meet their needs.

To graduate from this program, students must show proof of CPR training. Many of the classes in this program are offered on weekends. It is possible to complete this program in 6 months or less, and you may choose to take up to two years to complete all classes. If you wish to take the National Certification Exam, you must include at least 125 hours of Anatomy classes in your 720-Hour program.

You may choose to start this program with the 100 hr Massage Therapist Program or any of the Anatomy classes, or the Pathology class, or any elective class that has no prerequisite.

To work as a Massage Therapist in California
You must complete your training at an approved school (minimum 100 hours of training) and also obtain a business licence for the city or county you will be working in.

To obtain a business license you must
1. Be in compliace with any city or county ordinance applying to Massage Therapy; 
                                                                          OR
2. Apply for certification or conditional certification throught the California Massage Therapy Council (camtc.org) and apply for a business licence without needing to comply with city or county massage ordinances.
